Detroit City Distillery
Having been open for less than two years, Detroit City Distillery is located in popular Eastern Market and that location is quite purposeful. Being right next to local farmers on a weekly basis, Detroit City Distillery has the opportunity to source its ingredients directly from the farmers Eastern Market supports. DCD makes small batch artisanal whiskey, gin and vodka that is sold in stores across Michigan. A trip to its tasting room in Eastern Market will open the doors to signature cocktails of your choice, or you can go “Omakase,” a Japanese expression meaning “I’ll leave it to you,” and let the bartender to wow your taste buds.
Valentine Detroit Distilling Co.
Valentine Distilling, located in Ferndale, gets its name from its founder and chief distiller Rifino Valentine. Valentine believes in making a quality product in everything he does, especially in the vodka, gin and whiskey he and his team make at the distillery.
“In an era of mass production, squeezing costs and maximizing profits, one important thing is lost: quality,” Valentine says.
At the original distillery, patrons can relax in the cocktail lounge, enjoying fresh craft cocktails made with award winning liquor, such as Valentine Vodka, Liberator Gin and Woodward Ltd. Bourbon Whiskey.
