Created by Detroit natives missing the classic deep-dish style pizza that Detroit is known for while living in Pittsburgh, the owners of Michigan & Trumbull moved back home and set up shop in 2020. Pizzas here are made with either red or white sauce, offering a variety for each. Some of the Detroit red sauce pizzas include the Vernor Vegan, with almond romesco, grape tomatoes, roasted garlic, and basil, and the Stanley Stix with mozzarella, cheddar, and parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic oil, and vodka sauce. White pizzas come in flavors like Woodward White with mozzarella, baked ricotta, lemon zest, red pepper flakes, and garlic oil, or the Bagley Choizo with mozzarella, pickled red onion, and cilantro ranch.

We adventure in pizza science, featuring gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options.” Pie Sci offers innovative pizzas as well as long-time classics, and there is surely a pizza combination for everyone here. Check out the weekly special from the science lab, with fun new flavors that are available for a limited time. They offer casual counter-service digs with indoor and outdoor patio seating at Pie Sci Pizza and aim to open a second location in Oak Park in early 2024.

Open seven days a week, Supino Pizzeria is ready to serve you at the New Center location. This casual pizza spot offers East Coast-style pies, getting local and organic ingredients as much as possible. Try the City Wing Thing pizza, with red sauce, smoked chicken, smoked gouda, banana peppers, roasted garlic, and fresh mozzarella, or the El Greco with a white sauce, spinach, feta, white onion, and kalamata olives. Located in Corktown, Grandma Bob’s Pizza has an airy atmosphere and delicious pizzas available. Choose from the menu items like the sausage and pistachio, with Italian sausage, pistachio, red onion, ricotta cheese, and rosemary, or the spinach and roasted garlic cream pizza with spinach, onion, roasted garlic and chili pepper cream sauce, and sesame seed.
