Owning a pet can be one of life’s greatest joys. Unfortunately, for every pet that is loved and cared for, there are even more who lack the basic necessities to live a happy life.
Your Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers are on a mission to change that. Throughout the month of June, each of the 38 Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers will participate in the annual Pickups for Paws donation drive.
For six years, each dealership has partnered with a local animal rescue organization to deliver the items pets need most.
Along with the donation drive, some dealerships will host pet adoption days, so you can add a furry addition to your family just in time for summer.
Wish list items include cat litter, dog or cat food, dog or cat beds, dog crates, Kong toys, collars and leashes, Nylabones, stuffed dog toys, dog treats, dog pill pockets, and dog food rolls, like those from Natural Balance, Pet Botanics or Happy Howie’s brands.
But there are many other items that these non-profit animal organizations need – and the need for these items is truly year-round. Some examples include waterproof blankets, Swiffer mop refills, small paper bowls and plates, rubber dishwashing gloves, paper towels, Nature’s Miracle stain and odor remover, fleece fabric, and microfiber cleaning cloths. If you’ve ever owned a pet, you know these items are equally essential to your day-to-day caretaking.
