The Chevy Trax offers style and practicality, perfect for making every drive fun for the whole family.
Do you have a burgeoning pro baseball player in your family? The regular season may be over for little league, but thanks to the United Shore Professional Baseball League (USPBL) and the Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers, your kids have an opportunity to learn from actual professional players this summer!
If you’re unfamiliar with USPBL, it’s a local baseball league with four teams (the Eastside Diamond Hoppers, Utica Unicorns, Westside Wooly Mammoths, and the Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers) made up of overlooked college baseball players. They all compete against each other at Jimmy John’s Field in Utica for a championship series held in September and many of these players have gone on to play in Major League Baseball (MLB).
The USPBL Youth Clinics have returned for the 2019 season to teach kids ages 6-14 how to hone their skills on the field. One of the aforementioned teams will be teaching kids proper fielding, batting, running and more. The best part? These clinics are FREE!
The Chevy Trax offers style and practicality, perfect for making every drive fun for the whole family.
“It’s a great opportunity for [the kids]. They get to spend time in the dugout. They get to spend time in between their sessions actually talking with professional athletes,” said USPBL VP of client services Jeremiah Hergott, “and I think that’s a part you never want to overlook because not too many kids get that opportunity and when you do, it’s important to take advantage of it.”
All you have to do is stop into a local Metro Detroit Chevy Dealer to pick up one of our postcards. Each postcard has a unique code that you will enter here, granting you access to enter up to four kids into the Youth Clinics program.
“The one thing is it’s real important that the fans get out to all of the Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers to sign up,” Hergott said. “We were pleasantly surprised last year when we had to print and deliver more sign-up forms to different locations.”
But, wait! There’s more! Each registrant will receive two tickets for an upcoming USPBL game, a USPBL t-shirt and a Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers hat!
Last year, the event was so popular (almost 200 kids in attendance!), USPBL decided to split the event into two Youth Clinics, separated by age. Kids ages 6-10 will be able to attend the first Youth Clinic on June 24. Those aged 11-14 will be able to attend the second Clinic on August 12.
So, what are you waiting for? A chance to receive professional baseball training for those that play for a living would be any baseball fans dream! Just stop into a local Metro Detroit Chevy Dealer so you can sign up!
