Help the dogs at Detroit Animal Care and Control (DACC) by temporarily taking one home, starting Monday, October 19th. Couch Surfers is a program from the Friends of Detroit Animal Care and Control that allows someone to take a dog home for a few days to help the dog acclimate to a life outside of an animal shelter. According to DACC, adopters are more likely to adopt dogs with known experiences outside of a shelter. All you need to do is pick up a dog on Monday, October 19th, spend some time with them, and then drop them back off on Thursday, October 22 by 3:30 p.m.  For more information, visit facebook.com.
