CELLAR 313

Cellar 313 is a place where people can share a love of wine and community. They offer more than 100 wines on their list along with small bites to share and desserts. With a carefully curated selection of international and domestic wines, guests can enjoy the intimate atmosphere of Cellar 313 or the patio when the weather is just right. On the menu, you’ll find the chef’s charcuterie selection, flatbreads, and oysters to sweet options like mini key lime pies, assorted chocolates, or Jerome’s Bayview Hummer, with amber rum, Kahlua, and French vanilla ice cream. All of the wines at Cellar 313 are available to be purchased to enjoy at home, and for wine enthusiasts, check out the Wine Club offered.

VINO & VIBES WINE BAR

7740 Auburn Road, Utica

Vino & Vibes is committed to making the best wine experience every single time you come through the door. Their wine list is meticulously curated to only 50 wines that pair beautifully with their food selection. They also offer craft cocktails in a historic building from 1905. Owners Anna and Deanna Nolan hope visitors can relax, sit back, and enjoy excellent wine along with great conversation and good vibes. On the menu, you’ll find customizable charcuterie boards, paninis, truffle fries, and more small plates. Check out their social media for classes, tastings, and specials, like happy hour, 1/2 off wine Wednesdays, and more.

Michigan By The Bottle Tasting Room is where the passion for wine turned into a community gathering spot by two sommeliers. Owner Cortney Casey shares, “Our three locations are comfortable, casual places to explore Michigan wine. We’re partnered with a number of Michigan wineries, and we have something for everyone: dry, sweet, red, white, rosé, sparkling, dessert wines, and even hard cider. Wines are available in tasting flights, by the glass or by the bottle, along with delicious snacks, most of which are sourced locally. We also host tons of fun events, including pub trivia, a book club, live music, winemaker’s dinners, wine education courses, wine release events, and more!” To pair with your wine, check out the Flight Bites, which feature Michigan cheeses and dark chocolate from Birmingham Chocolate Makers, Germack spicy chili and wasabi snack mix, the soft pretzel, or fresh baguette served with spreadable Zingerman’s cheese. 

THE ROYCE

The Royce is a small but mighty wine bar and retail space located in the heart of Detroit’s trendy Cass Corridor neighborhood. This wine bar offers an extensive list of carefully curated wines from all over the world. What sets The Royce apart is its emphasis on organic, biodynamic, and sustainable wines. The knowledgeable staff can help you navigate the menu and choose the perfect wine to pair with their delicious charcuterie board. The Royce also hosts a variety of events, like a wine expo and wine classes on the mezzanine of the building. 

VERTICAL DETROIT

1538 Centre Street, Detroit

Vertical Detroit opened back in 2015 and became Downtown Detroit’s first high-end, wine-centric restaurant and wine bar. Located in the Paradise Valley district downtown, you’ll find a luxe yet cozy vibe to enjoy some wine and a bite to eat. Vertical Detroit is named after a vertical tasting, which is a comprehensive flight with consecutive vintages of one specific wine. You can find a collection of domestic and international wines to be paired with a delicious dinner of pan-seared scallops, mushroom risotto, and more.  

TALLULAH WINE BAR & BISTRO

155 South Bates Street, Birmingham 

Tallulah Wine Bar & Bistro pairs its impressive wine selection with exquisite seasonal bistro fare, making it a favorite for gourmets and wine aficionados alike. Some seasonal menu picks include watermelon gazpacho and Faroe Island salmon. The seamless integration of a cozy atmosphere and wine culture makes Tallulah a standout destination. With over 150 wines to choose from, including many rare and hard-to-find selections, Tallulah Wine Bar & Bistro has been recognized for many awards since its conception, including ‘Best Wine Bar’ from Hour Detroit Magazine in 2023.
